He is extremely personable and enjoys being around people. Dune will drop his head for kids to rub all over him, groom him, and love on him, making him an easy favorite around the barn. He is gentle and tolerant with young riders and happily packs them around.
Dune is a family-oriented gelding that can ride with some class for the adults, yet is gentle enough for kids to ride around. He has been ridden all over the ranch, hauled to the rodeo scene, sorted stock in the pens, and handled every new environment in stride. Whether you’re crossing a creek, working through brush, or riding down the road, this gelding is up to the task.
Dune stands quietly for the farrier and will ground tie until you tell him differently. He is the perfect size for a rider with bad knees, as he is easy to get on and off on the trail. He has been exposed to farm machinery, equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle—you name it. He is sound and up to date on teeth, vaccines, coggins, and health papers.
This gelding has been nothing short of a pleasure to work with since he stepped foot on our property. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there.
