This gorgeous grey boy has plenty of bone, size, and presence. He rides nicely, gives to the bit, moves off your leg, and has experience working cattle. He’s smooth to ride and truly enjoyable under saddle. Has been used for intermediate lessons.

Important history & honest notes:
He was a stud until April of last year. During that time, he DID bite people when mares were in heat. Since being gelded, mares have cycled around him this year without issue — however, due to his size and past behavior, we still recommend keeping him away from mares.

On the ground he is generally good, but if you go to catch him while he’s eating, he may pin his ears, snake his neck, and act like a big pushy jerk. When reminded (we spin the lead rope toward him), he moves off and can then be caught. About 75% of the time he’s already waiting at the gate for you.

Because of his size and presence, we truly feel this is a man’s horse or at minimum a confident, experienced handler’s horse. He just needs consistency and a job.

Under saddle, he’s a pretty good boy and a pleasure to ride. This is a big, powerful horse that will shine with someone who puts him to work.
